A trick I use is changing "http://" in front of internet links to "https://" - the filter on some server at my school can't filter secure traffic, so you can go to any site that has a SSL certificate pretty much. However, many sites do not have SSL certificates so it might not work on your favorite sites.

This does work with these popular sites however:
-Facebook (last time I checked at least)
-Meebo (web instant messenger application for AIM, MSN, Yahoo, etc...you need to go to https://wwwl.meebo.com if you want it to work though)
-MySpace

^wurd. I'd say about 3/4ths of "blocked" sites work if you put the http:// in the beginning. Try one of the ones storm posted with tht http:// before.

command prompt

If command prompt is blocked on the computer, open up notepe and type in

'command.com' and save to your desktop as 'batch.bat'

open it and type in 'ping www.facebook.com' or any website you like.

ip's will appear with lots of extra junk.

Copy the ip on the url and click enter.

you are now on facebook.com (unless they have blocked the ip also)




You can use that method for proxy sites also so you can get around the blocks and proxy w/e you like.

I tried it with https:// in the school's office b/c they gt computers there and the college computer lab was close. It didnt work :(
