Hmm used to happen to me but then it just disappeared ( I'm not sure if you had the same problem as me b4 banana but when I get into the server I used to lag out and have to try rejoining at least 2 times and sometimes lag out of no where... but then it stopped mysteriously...oooooo) or I scanned my computer for viruses forgot if I did...XD

If it doesnt work click start/all programs/accessories/command prompt

It is there in Vista.

Ace, Cursed.. You have adware so download some free tools and scan your pc. repeat the steps I gave you after you remove the adware and you should get better results.

Vman is right though it would be best to backup your data and format the pc.

If you're in vista, you want to type in "cmd" in the search bar when you open the start menu.

Don't use ad-aware, I find this program to be much better:

my ping sux too sometimes... it even got to 8000 XD... and dude... i just changed computers and all and now i barelly lag at all... it might be the connection...like if u got comcast and a wireless router... u preetty much screwed where i live...

^ Registry cleaning program, i dled it, used it, it cleaned about 700 registry shit and it got rid of only 8 of my Adware (8/32)

WHOA! how'd u et my steam pic on there?!?? XD and btw.. u might wanna try AVG for a while.... it finds all the malware/adware that i hav and then i delete it... like for instance... i just tried to install counter strike source from limewire.... but all the .zip and all the files there were infected w/ some adware or trojans and all.. and it detects them actually and yea... it's rlly good.. and the free version is what i hav... the one that costs is way better.. but it's 54$ (just so u kno... i actually DID buy the other counter strike games XD )
