Nope, that is Sarah's truck (I live with Sarah, Cliff, and Chris),
I drive an 06 Accord 2dr V6, Chris drives a 01 Xterra, Cliff has an 08 Z71, Sarah has that 04/05 Tahoe.

jesus, that thing street legal

Not a chance, it has never been street legal, started life as a race bike.

How is your new one vs. your old one?

I always thought your old one was a racing bike too...?

My RC51 is a factory race bike, in street form, it has some mods on it (about 4g's worth) but is still street legal, but when I go to the track, I strip it down, like so:

During:

After:

Then I go race it (with the track fairings and slicks), then when I get back, I have to reverse it back to street form. It takes a while to do (like a whole afternoon) and is just a pain.

I am a good rider, have alot of talent in motorsports, so I moved up fast (2nd time at the track was moved up), but you also have certain things you have to do to your bike to make it competitive. The main thing is suspension. Ohlins rear shock = 1300, forks = 2500, so just to make the suspension on my bike competitive would cost me 3800. Then wheels are really important, if you change them to lightweight wheels, you brake better, turn better, everything better, its something like every 1lb of weight off your wheels feel like 20 off the whole bike. The wheels on the bike I got are $2650 a set. Also brake upgrades help alot, brembo kit (on the new bike I got) runs about 800 bucks (mastercylinder + rotors). Add in that the bike itself would cost 6-7g for a beat up one. I paid 6900 for the bike + 1g for the wheels, + 300 for 5 rear slicks and 2 fronts (that normally cost 200 per tire) and tons of spare parts. Also included 20 rear sprockets, 8 front (for any gearing change, rear sprockets cost 80 a piece, so about 2000 in gears), spare radiator, spare header, spare mid pipe, spare loud ass no muffler pipe, 2 sets of spare brake pads, spare steering head, etc etc...

On top of all of that, the motor has had some serious work. My RC51 has about 140 rear wheel horsepower, while this bike put down a staggering 192. My friend that I race with has a stock form of the same bike as my new one, and his is fast, but only puts down 157hp!!!

To compare them is really hard, the honda is a Vtwin, like a ducatti, it handles really nice, has tons of torque, loves twisty tracks, but does not have the power of the new bikes. Put me on a slow tight track that is all turns, and the RC will kick ass, if I had suspension mods on it, it would be unstoppable, but it would cost me the price I paid for my new bike, just to get it even with my new one... minus the fact that it would have 50hp less!

The RC51 makes a great track bike for a beginner, it is very forgiving, you can run it hard and it wont bite, my new bike is more like a timebomb waiting to blow, one twist of the wrist can send the bike flipping down the track, so I will have to ride it with alot more caution than my old bike.

So, thats why I have 2, one for the track, one for the street, and have both for the cost of 1 bike brand new.

No sponsors, I am a member or 2 leagues, NESBA and STT. Both are "Trackday" companies, as in, not a full race, just ride however you want, and they keep track of your skill and put you in with the appropriate group. In about a year or so I will join either CCS or WERA, which are both race leagues, that keep national points, championships, winnings, etc. The issue with that is that my bike that I got, is like balls out fast, so they would require me running with the TOP classes, so I would be in the back. The best thing for me to do that point is to either fix up my RC51 for race only, and it would be a awesome bike for the class it would race with, or get a 750 and run superstock (my race bike is "SS" aka super sport). If I got that far, and won some races, I could get tons of free parts from sponsors and such.
