Okay, so people still think you're playing for rank and not fun. So what? Prove them wrong. Request that you're recruitment post be unlocked, or request for an unlock by a certain date, and play in the pub. Prove to everyone you're there to have fun, which should be easy. JUST HAVE FUN. And if killing is fun, that's all well and good. But there's more to it than just killing, and I think you know that now.

When I wasn't in the Top15, I was crazy about getting on it. I tried DAMN hard. It was fun having a challenge to fulfill, and now that I'm stuck at three... it gets boring.

Rank is a mod Splak has always had, and for good reason. Nothing is wrong with being competitive (unless you take it too seriously, of course), and you get a satisfactional feeling seeing your name on there. It's an accomplishment.

I may go with Solid's idea and ask to have my rank reset one day; give me a reason to try again. But all in all, if you have a constant desire to check your rank every so often - go for it. People who complain about others being 'rank whores' annoys me much more than someone who is dedicated in bringing up their rank.

honestly im a rank whore as well, but i dont keep going around telling them whtever rank i am or asking ppl. i usually look my rank mayb once or twice in a map, but i usually do them when either im the only one alive or dead so ppl dont see wht i type. also, when i want to find out about other people's rank u dont need to ask, just type /stats or /status. BUt i like u N!ko your fun to play around, dont lose hope yet
