So every saturday I go to the local soccer league park to play our games as usual. But this game was a bit weird because in the middle of it, the ball went out of the field and as I was making my way to getting it back I got attacked by a maltese (Yes, it's one of those fluffy little cute puppies) As he was hanging with his teeth on my leg, I managed to pull him out and kept on playing. I thought it wouldn't be a big deal so I just ignored it until I got home, I told my mom I got bit by a dog and she started freaking out because the dog might have had rabies and that stuff. So I end up in the local clinic calling the owner of the dog ( We knew the owner because his son played for my team) to try to talk to him into giving us the paper that said that the dog had all it's shots, but he kept on trying to evade doing that, so my doctor said that if he doesn't get that paper by these 3 days they will have to give me the rabies shots either way if I had it or not (btw he told me it takes about 21 shots in my back so I guess they're pretty painful and it's around $250 each << (that's what my doc said )

Now Im not sure if I should try to press charges on the dog owner for letting the dog out without it's shots..(it's my assumption since he seemed so absurd about showing us the papers)

So what do you guys think ?

hmm bro to be honest i really dont think it would cost that much for the shots. if u add it all its about $5250.00. i think it may hurt just a little but not to much. ya but sorry for you luck. hope ur ok XD

Definitely press charges if you are required to take the shots because he won't show papers. Take him to court if he never shows them. Also, make sure the court knows he refused to show papers, and make them force him to bring them to court.

If he doesn't have them, he probably never gave the dog shots, which is wrong. It might not have rabies, but there are a multitude of other things which animals need shots for. If he's not taking care of his dog, it should be taken from him. Especially if it's not even trained to not attack someone.

I have a maltese too. Cute lil' buggers they are. Gotta love'em.

Probably the reason that he wont bring the papers is because he would be admitting liability. Sue him for the bills/pain and suffering.

Like Chris said, sue him for the bills as well as pain/suffering. If it's going to cost that much, or even less, make sure you get your money and compensation.

I can't stand shitty pet owners either. Make sure the court is aware of his ignorance/folly.

Also, what is a meteor sickness shot? What is meteor sickness? Where does the shot have to go?

I would have to pay all that money and my parents would probably lose a lot of hours from their jobs because each shot has to go a certain time after the other (they can't be all together)

Oh yeah and I researched meteor sickness and something about a peruvian meteor that got a lot of people sick and it's really painful apparently.

and sue them for the waste of time, every sec = 1,000 bucks then donate to splak, and bring a tape recorder and talk to the person and say "hey, can i see the papers of your dog? so i know he's had his shots?" and tape the tape recorder to your chest the whole time and when you guys go to court, you pwn him in the face, then say this after court is over "SPLAK"
