I think it's cute(sarcasm) how people like to blow certain things off by saying "Oh, worse is going on" or "You're worried about that when you could be worried about 'THIS'(ex)???!!!" On another note, i agree Awol, i saw the video too, that sick fuck enjoyed doing it. He personally should be given the same treatment. HOWEVER, given the prior evidence before i looked elsewhere for a better video, i wondered if there wasn't a possibility that they were in a covert mission and a gun shot would jeopardize their mission and the puppy was barking and it could do the same.

In this(COMPLETELY HYPOTHETICAL) instance, if the puppy died on impact, that may be a necessary casualty. I would never want the puppy to suffer, i would hope it would have died instantly and painlessly. But at the same time I will NEVER put an animal's life in front of a humans. NEVER! If that puppy was a risk for that unit, then it should have been dealt with. End of story.

But up until i found the other video, all i could do was speculate. Which is honestly all that most everyone else is doing. (Along with just passing it off on the American government because beating animals is all in a day's work for most Americans) It is not fair to stereotype all marines as being like this, even though I know that that is the general persona around the world. I will be VERY surprised if this guy is not dishonorably discharged for psychological problems.

..and dont worry, you'll be able to read about it later because the American Media hates the GOP so much that they will try to say that George Bush is his long lost 2445345345th cousin and that he somehow talked him into doing it. All of this reminds me of a short story we did in my English class about the Vietnam war. Basically there's a draft notice for this one guy and he runs away because he doesn't want to fight in a war. He ends up going to war because he feels like he'd be letting down his friends, family, and country. When he came back from the war he found out that all the soldiers were hated for the war in Vietnam because the rest of the world (including America now) didn't feel like the US had a right to start a war there.

Personally, I like to believe that there's compassion, intellegence, and sympathy in every person but sometimes reality hits us too hard and too fast to understand everything at one.

Basically I stand by my previous statement. WAR = SUCKS.

Maybe it's because we put our money into health care? Also if I remember correctly there is also Canadians fighting along with the Americans in Iraq. I sense some American-Canadian tension here. I'm Canadian, I don't want to cause you any harm, and I won't!.

This reminds me of back in 2004 i think it was where (i'm not sure where I heard it) the money spent in fighting the Iraq war could have fed 4 million people in Africs for 30 years. I'm not sure how accurate that is but I distinctly remember hearing it somewhere.

Alright then, back to my main point. You have to handle people like this differently. You cant reason with someone who only wants violence. Violence breeds more violence and so on. Its a vicious cycle, but until you put an end to it it wont stop, and in this particular case, you are not able to sit back and hope it stops. That was our solution in the 70's and its not a reasonable solution anymore. We have learned that it wont stop and that we have to take action now. If that action is taking someone out of office that is very unstable and has weapons that can harm a large amount of people... then so be it.
