Getting a DS tonight when I get to Houston. Leaving in the morning to fly up to Colorado till Sunday. Gonna go snowboarding in Breckenridge.

I called all around Austin and Houston trying to find the regular White Nintendo DS Lite, with absolutely no luck. No Targets have it, no Fry's have it, no Walmarts have it, no Gamestops/KB Toys, nowhere except the walmart in Houston close to where I'll be coming in tonight. And they only have one. And it's a Zelda Version. I dont really care. I'd like to play that game, but The DS itself is pretty ugly.

Anyone know anything about DS's and have any do/donts when it comes to buying different games?

So far, I want to get Brain Age 2 and "Touch the Dead" a zombie shooter game. If you know of some good games i HAVE to buy, let me know.

And if you know anything about differences of Zelda Bundle vs normal ds lite, lemme know. I'm paying 150$ for it.

Thanks. I'll be on for a bit today after I run some errands, then hopefully, just the forums while i'm there. Won't be on the server till probably monday.

Heard a lot of people saying it was probably the best portable to get right now. Personally, I like my PSP just fine, but Ill check out a few things about the DS.

Don't have on, but 'Brain Age 2' or something alike looks tempting enough to get one.

42 All Time Classics ( think it's called Clubhouse games in America) is fun.
Basically, it has 42 different games: card games like blackjack, texas hold em, hearts etc. It also has board games like chess, backgammon and other games like bowling, billiards and dominoes.
They're all controlled using the touch screen so it's easy to play, and almost all the games are playable online with other people - including online leaderboards.

Solo play is also quite good, but if you were going to get it then it's worth being able to go online.

Complete game list:
Card games: Old Maid, Spit, I Doubt It, Sevens, Memory, Pig, Blackjack, Hearts, President, Rummy, Seven Bridge, Last Card, Last Card Plus, Five Card Draw, Texas hold 'em, Nap, Spades and Contract Bridge.
Board games: Chinese checkers, Checkers, Dots and Boxes, Hasami shogi, Turncoat, Connect Five, Grid Attack, Backgammon, Chess, Shogi, Field Tactics and Ludo.
Variety games: Soda Shake, Dominoes, Koi-Koi and Word Balloon.
Action games: Bowling, Darts, Billiards, Balance and Takeover.
Single player games: Solitaire, Escape and Mahjong solitaire.

Review:

Edit: and in the UK it's a budget game, only £20, don't know about America though

Contra 4. If you think you can handle it, anyways. It's proven many a man to be nothing but a pussy.

Good luck.

I have one. Phoenix wright, ace attorney and trauma center, under the knife. Great games. in TC you do surgerery, and its very fun. in PW, your a lawyer, and you solve cases and such. both are anime style drawn, but TC uses the DS graphics for surgery, and has a very good story, especially given what it is. PW is good fun, has some very funny parts, good story, and both are great for ca/plane rides. I've heard good things about hotel dusk as well. FF3, although a final fantasy game, is still pretty fun if you like dungeon crawlers. Its old school too, classic level up and no save dungeons, with a lotta level grinding. I like it, and if you like those things you will enjoy it. Oddball games will make you love the system. I like my shooters on console, personally, so i dont mind the lack of "epic games" for the DS, since psp has MGS and stuff. I have th wario ware game for the GC, and its pretty fun, if you like minigames, so thats an option as well. Zelda is probably good, most of em are, and the reviews i have read gave it mad props.

My fav game by far is Super Mario 64 DS I also like a game called Jump Ultimate Stars but that only came out in Japan so you have to order it in totally worth it tho.

Other games Im getting myself next month are: Anno 1503 (Date may be wrong:S) Sim City and Zelda (Zelda look SWEET)

I have Trauma Center for Wii, didnt keep me occupied for long. got boring. I like minigames, so may get that wario game or mario party ds. super mario 64 ds sounds cool, i hated Super C on nintendo, so prolly no to contra 4.

pretty much, gonna see if any local places have Touch the Dead, and I'll get brain age 2. I'll aim for the one JCP suggested too. that one sounds fun.

the ds gold sold at the walmart i was planning on getting it from in houston, so I made some more calls and found a walmart that had a few white ones. my sister went and picked one up for me so it was guaranteed. It's gonna be fun. she also has a bunch of ghameboy/gameboy advance games that she's gonna bring.

How does the online play work? is it free and just comes stock on every ds?

if you dont have wireless you have to buy a wifi connector
