So now im having internet problems. I used to live next to 2 empty townhomes. Now they are occupied and have probably started using internet from the only local cable provider. Because my internet gets really slow at night when both people are home(due to the shared cable connection). But I am on all the time at work, and in the mornings when i dont have classes. So if you guys see me just sitting there spec'ing and not playing, its probably because my ping is going up and down.

Yeah, i get a slower connection like, never.. The old people around me don't use the interwebs very much. :D I'd recommend seeing, at those times, if changing your rates SLIGHTLY might do anything at all (I'm sure someone else can correct me if i'm wrong on this)

Anyway, GREAT! guy! Awesome to play with, always keeps a good attitude, very mature. Definite two thumbs up!..Hell, TWO HANDS UP! fuck it.. I'll STAND UP for this one!

Get off cable, DSL = dedicated line (so no one can slow you down) plus lower pings (less hops).

The only thing cable has going for it is "better speeds" but thats a best case situation, when the bottom drops out because your neighbor is downloading porn your screwed (its not that different in speed, my dsl is a 8mb/512kb)

Lower ping > better top speed

Yeah, ive been looking into it Cole. But its hard to find a good provider that wont try and screw you over. Cable is the cheapest thing in town besides dial-up (INSERT: Nelson saying "HAW HAW") :lol:. If i could afford it i would've gone with DSL to begin with. Maybe ill have to splurge and get it for christmas, because it sure sucks now that i have neighbors.
