Hhmmmm.... Census session that's not a bad Idea makeshiftpatriot. I think that would be wonderful if those were conducted (and based upon majority deciding factor and investigation through testing). It might induce teachers into changing some areas of their teaching habits. But like I said If only the senate would consider having schools compete for a kids education through, posting test scores publicly and letting parents decide where they send their child with his or her money is an already proven method of working brilliantly. (Florida did it not to long ago. It worked so well that when Parents were pulling their kids outta "Bad" schools and sticking them in ones proven to have higher test scores, that the Teachers unions started screaming bloody murder and made the local courts send the money back to the schools instead of the parents) <--- I like disputes!

test scores are already public information. as for funding, if one set of parents wants their kids out, whats not to say that all the kids want out? when you do that, you arent fixing the system. some schools are filled with more bad teachers than others. however, the system is set up in a way that promotes short term gains and low quality work. it simply costs too much to grant every wish of every parent in terms of schooling. it wont happen.

This is the revenue spent on one kid for every kid in the U.S. enrolled in a Government school in 2005 $9,926. Would you rather have the choice to spend that money on a school of your choosing or have it sent to a school determined by where you live? I know for one I'd rather have the money spent on a school that's statistically proven to be teaching kids better. If schools were competing to teach kids, that would give the schools the incentive to toss out the rift raft and perform better. "Everyone's got a mortgage to pay."

but auto, then itll all be based on a shitload of test grades and stuff, and kids will constantly be tested and just doing test reviews during class time, like itll be the end of the year teaching all throughout the school year.

my point is how do you judge how good is school is doing or a teacher? test scores? really? chances are the WHOLE school isnt bad.

If the rich tax payers are paying for a better school in their town, is it fair to have all the people who pay less taxes send their kids to the same "rich" school? It's not fair, and its prob not right, but thats the dilemma we are dealing with. Motivate teachers to do a better job and pay them more. That way the WHOLE system gets uplifted not just one or two cases
