Right when I turn the comp on this is what it says.

"This system is shutting down. Please save all work in progress and log off. Any unsaved changes will be lost. This shut down was initiated by \.
Message: The system process 'C:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code -1073741819. The system will now shut down and restart. Time before shutdown: 00:00:59"

Then it counts down and shuts down and restarts. Can anyone tell me how to fix it or what I should do?

I cant believe someone ran the sasser worm on you! its too old man all a/v now can detect it.

Restart in safe mode, or plug off your ethernet and restart in normal mode. Run your antivirus and let it detect.


If it doesnt detect anything plug in your ethernet cable and download windows malicious software removal tool from windows update or http://www.symantec.com/security_response/writeup.jsp?docid=2004-050114-1706-99
If you still get the shutdown countdown window while scanning or downloading quickly click start/Run and type "shutdown -a" without quotes. This should disable shutdown temporarily until your a/v corrects the problem. Running a firewall will help as well since some of those attacks are ip attacks not a physical virus on your hard drive.

F6 on startup (turn on your computer and just start pressing f6 like every 1 or 2 seconds), select safe mode.
