i only lock it when its like really late at night and only cole and i and a few other ppl are on, otherwise i never lock it during the day that much

I only see it on lock for the past few days. We really need to get a pub life going in there like the cz pub has.

i dont think a lot of people will be playing late at night since school has started for people like me.element and i were the only ones on the splak tf2 server and it was 10:00 so it makes sense just to lock it late at night

Its not for members its for everyone else who might come in at another time. I just got off the cz pub at 8 am if it was locked and I didnt know anything about it I would think it wasnt a pub.

well then just type "instant spawn" in the server title when ppl are looking for servers to play on, gotta make it look flashy at least.

If you want people in your server you need to offer something no one else has. Peng and I play in a Convoy server because theres only maybe two, one of which is good. If I was a pubber and looked at the splak server now Id see it as an achievement server. We need to keep it open as much as we can, and we need some good map rotation. That and playing in it so people start to come in.

Also I've noticed some people get kicked off by steam or something (like penguin) where is the server located?

Servers located in Chicago. Penguin shouldnt get kicked off steam. If anyone should it would be me, lol.



I think its pretty difficult to say what would make people come to our server. Its always going to be different, they'll get bored of different mods, maps, etc. Its probably gonna be harder than we expect. I guess all we could possibly do, is get certains maps, mods and just try them out for a week, see how it goes. Then possibly move on to the next one.

Post some mods and we'll make a vote for them and see what is most liked. imo the maps are going to be what gets people. That and having members in there.

I kept getting a "hl.exe quit working" error.

I found a work-around on teh intarwebz and was not able to test it. I think I got it working and will prob. be purchasing the game in a few days.

So...

you'll get atleast one more pubber.

Peng is really picky about servers though also. If the ping is too high then he gets kicked by steam every min or so. And I mean like pings > 60 or something completely retarded like that. He'd be better at explaining it than me.
