I realize there are some permissions issues going on, no one can see anything they should not see, but some things (like guest) are not seeing enough. $torm is working on it right now and it should be fixed soon.

Also, if you go to your user control panel, Board preferences, My board style, you can set it to subsilver2 (default, which is like our old forums), or set it to pro silver (which is the newer, where the user names, avatars and such are on the right), your choice.

These forums feel weird. Is there a way to enable quick reply?

I enabled it when I set up the forums:
Quote:
Allow quick reply:
This setting defines if quick reply is enabled or not. If this setting is enabled, forums need to have their quick reply option enabled too.

Yet they are not showing, and I cannot find a place to enable it under each individual forum, but I am looking...

I've added the quick reply feature so this is now usable.

However, I can't fix the permissions at the moment and I'm not sure whether I will be able to either.

Yeah, the permissions things has us both stumped. I have a feeling that each user may have a feeling that there may be a permission that we are missing that is hiding some stuff. Maybe vman can take a quick look and fix it, then make us look dumb?

Holy crap you guys did this fast, haha.

The forums are noticeably faster now with the newer version

Permissions should be fixed.

All private sections are now managed through the groups (just add/remove members from a group/groups to let them have access or remove access)

Also added youtube tag :D

Cole, whenever you get a chance, can you add this quick mod: http://www.phpbb.com/kb/article/links-o ... w-windows/

It brings back the phpBB2 feature where links in posts open in a new window instead of the same one.

Groups are still not working right. Open a browser and go to splak.net (signed out), you should be able to see 2 sections (as guest), the bans, and the "how to view these forums", but can see none. There are quite a few permissions doing this. If you copy the link the the actual section, and paste it as guest, it works, but if you just go to our site, as a guest, it appears we have nothing.

I did this testing with an account called test, you can change the password, and I set it 1 at a time to each group in firefox (under my account), then used IE to refresh the main page over and over and there are a few that are not right (even though they are right in the permissions).

Thanks for the youtube, I had actually added the mod to our old forums last week, but easymod was throwing errors (another reason I upgraded), and I will do that code change for you tomorrow.
