it's been fun, but it's time to go. I dont see myself following down the path that this clan is going. Im not really on anymore anyways because I dont like how the server is being run and the still lame map rotation. Its nothing personal, I like all of you, probably the main reason why Ive stayed here for such a long time but people change and things change. Anyways, Ill be around ever so often to read the forums, etc., ask for PC help(which I thank everyone for helping me on that, thank you), and chit chat. thanks for all the good convos, laughs, and funny times. Good luck in your future and I hope all the best for everyone. |

Ok, rant time: I still don't get why people leave because of "the way things ...." and do nothing to change them, then (not saying you will) come back and try to get re-recruited. Man, just talk to me or someone about your issues and work stuff out. If shitty maps piss you off, copy the map list, start a post about a "map rotation review" or whatever and over the course of a month, have "map check hour" like every day from one time to another (like 7-8) make a note next to every map what you think, then post that 500 map list on the forums, if everyone is cool with it, I will set the crap maps onto the "ban maps list" which means they cannot be nominated but they still are there (like rambohulk) just an admin has to force it to the map. Either way, I do realize that I am not around all the time, but I have a busy life. I wake up 630, go to work, leave work at 5, go work out till 730 (Monday, Tues, Wed, and Friday), cook and eat dinner, play CZ for like an hour, get in bed, watch tv for an hour, repeat. Thursdays I don't work out, but I get home, suit up and go to bike night, eat and ride, home at 10-11. Friday nights I play if I am in town, Saturdays I normally work on bikes, do things around the house, etc, go out with friends or play CZ if I am home, Sundays I ride all day, and that is IF I am in town. It is hard for me to do all of that and to find the time to go through all the maps myself (and a shitty map to one person is someone else's favorite, so sorry, the only maps I will remove are broken and really really crappy maps, like most the splak_ maps (especially the ones bryan did). I think right now in Splak we have some very loyal and good members (I would have to say every year we get better and better), some may of gotten in too quick to have any loyalty to try to help the clan, some freak out and sabotage themselves, some just fade away, but people come and go, it happens, eventually each one of you will get too busy for it and do something else, I have been doing this for years and plan on there always being a splak server for as long as I have a computer (and would hope it would keep going on after I can't be the leader). |
