I've been on a lot less these days, as everyone knows. I've been working for this EMS company for a little over 3months now, and finally got on a permanent shift at 48 hours a week. I've been stuck in a "floating" position where I was working on a lot of different trucks with a lot of different people, usually adding up to about 54-60 hours a week. Now I finally have a permanent partner and work Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri from 9a-9p. I'm liking it, but am going to be moving back down to Houston in November so my wife and I can be close to family. Which brings me to my next subject. Amber's 8 months pregnant. She had some preterm labor contractions that had her in the hospital for a total of 3 days about 2 weeks ago, but the doctors were really proactive in stopping them and helping her keep the little one in. He's probably going to be born before 38 weeks, which will be anywhere from now to the end of the month. I turn 22 on June 30th. Amber's on bed-rest because of the Hospital visits, but she can go off it at 37 weeks. They did a series of steroid injections to mature the baby's lungs in case he's born early, so we aren't worried if he pops out any time now. His name is Keagen Forrest Holt, the middle name being the same as mine and my father's, keeping tradition of my grandfather's first name who was a WWII Veteran. We had Amber's Baby Shower this past weekend in Houston and got a shit load of baby stuff. Amber's mom is in town and she's been cleaning the house for us since I've been at work. Amber tells her where to put stuff and she does it. She's a pothead and has a pain pill addiction, but she works like a dog around here, so we let her stay and put up with her and her oxycontin problem. Anyways, just an update on me. As always, I'll try to get on soon and hang out with everyone, but it's hard to make time these days. Next time I pop up, I may have baby pictures to show off. Miss you guys, but I'll still be around. See you soon. |

pepto, it's nice to hear from you. Sounds like you're being a real man, someone that we can all emulate: steady, hardworking job, stable marriage, and soon to be, if all goes well, an awesome child. congratulations on everything, some of it is luck, but most of it is hard work, so job well done. keep it up! feel free to pop in whenever, we'd love to see/hear you and how you're doing if only for a few minutes. anyways, good luck with the pregnancy and keep us updated! Take it easy
