Doing a trial run of adbrite ads on my site. I am going to see how they work for us, and if it works good, there is one more options that may help us roll in the cash, but it is very annoying (it is where you click a page, and every 1,2,3,4, or 5 , whichever one I choose, page you click on, it does a full page ad, where you have to click a button to continue to the page you requested). I will only use that if this does not cover our costs. Yes full page ads are annoying, but freeloaders are even more annoying. Sucks that we have to resort to ads, but the amount of people who use our server and never give back is just sad. |

Few more weeks and I'll be able to donate. College is a real drain on the bank account. Also sucks that the majority of the players on our server are under the age of 18 so it's very difficult for them to donate. Pros and cons I guess. Ads wont be too mad, gotta do what you gotta do. thanks |

Yeah, we used to be ad based a long time ago, made like 1buck a month, for like 2 years, and our forums also had ads (on forumsplace) but we got nothing from it, just free forums. After I moved the forums here, I moved my google ads to this forums when I made it, we went from a buck a month to like 10 bucks a day, google freaked out (tons more traffic) and shut down our ads saying we were somehow cheating them (we just went from like 2 views a day to 200+ a day by moving the forums). |
