hes offically been hacked. He messaged me this morning telling me the EXACT same message you said above gigi. So just be aware guys, if you see him in game, make sure its him before you start chit chatting w/ him.

*EDIT* So has "Ghost brings the bacon", he messaged me shortly after i got that 2nd message from lightbulb then went offline, just like lightbulb did when he messaged me the first message yesterday.

I feel really bad for these guys, but lightbulb had allready been warned about these sites.

As if getting your account hijacked wasn't already a pain in the ass to deal with, they have to deal with you flaming them and being a troll?

Seriously.. did the fact that these individuals are not as old as you, and don't understand the concept yet that phishers can make similar looking websites to Steam to hijack their accounts not come across you?

It's a serious issue, I can only hope for the best that Lightbulb and Ghost get their accounts back, but I don't see why anyone has any reason to disrespect ANYONE on something like this.

Ahem, I went to the link, one look at the site can tell you it doesn't look like it.

And how, in any form, is this flaming or trolling? It's called an opinion, and I do believe I am entitled to it.

Honestly, I'm not going to show sympathy to someone who doesn't read Valve's message of "don't give out your account information."

Do I wish for them to get their accounts back? Yes. I wish I was able to get mine back, but I'm not due to the a friends misconduct.

Now, If you want to stoop down to calling names, and using a personal level, I'll be more than glad to. I have a good bit of built up thoughts to let out at any time you want me to, on a fair and open public upon this forums, Display.

I'll be happy to bring a few points into the light.

Now, back upon the topic at hand. Yes, It is a serious issue, and people should take the time, no matter the age, to read what they are supposed to read.

And again, the sites do not look the same. There's a tool bar at the top of the fake one. The misspellings were pointed out, as well.

It's just poor thought upon their part to not check something. I do not mean that in any offensive way, I'm just stating a point, and trust me, there are other people who think the same. Sorry for being willing to say it openly upon a forums I thought to be "welcoming" to open discussion.

People learn from things like this and in a way its a good thing. On the other hand, its a pain in the ass. Atleast it was a video game and not their whole computer. Maybe by a minor inconvenience and having to contact someone they will learn something that might save their parents pictures on the family computer that aren't backed up.

Lesson here is...

EVERYONE respect each other. If you dont feel the need to, you can just GGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEET OUTT
