Too bad it's not real. Those pictures are from a demo created a long time ago to showcase what it WOULD look like compared to the original, doing the same exact sequence. However, there's no one working on this yet.

AWOL is right. Crisis core just came out, along with a few cell phone games in japan.

i bet their just gonna release all of their FF7 games before they do the remake, on gamespot it says this:

Release Date: TBA

so their gonna work on it or something, so keep your hopes up till some time later in life!

That really does mean nothing. Honestly, there is NO ONE working on this. No one has taken the mantle, so to speak. If there is, it's definitely very secret and there are no released details on it.

As it is, there appears to be NO ONE who is doing anything for a Final Fantasy 7 remake. No game developers, no companies, no third parties, first parties, or any parties.

I have a dream that one day, I will live in a world where a brilliant Final Fantasy 7 remake will be available to all.

Until that day, it's only a dream. Dream on.

if theyre smart and want to make 5 bagillion dollars in one day they should make it

crisis core was pretty cool, i was hoping for real time combat rather than the kindgom hearts feeling to it

if u wait till after the credits of crisis core (after the part w/ zack and cloud) it shows cloud saying "I'm Cloud. SOLDIER, 1st class" and then a "to be continued in Final Fantasy VII" then there's a rumor of the president of FF saying he has no intentions of remaking FF7, but i bet he's just trying to keep it a surprise :P

They have stated in the past that they do not like remakes. I think it was when people asked them if they were doing anymore FF# type things for the DS.

they've been making remakes for the DS, so maybe in the future, FF7 for the DS? that's gonna suck, but better than nothing i guess
