That is the correct price for that card, it is workstation (CAD) class card, which the high end ones always cost 800+

These cards are NOT meant for games, they take all the processing power of the video cards, and take it off of direct3d/opengl/directx style of rendering, and move it to rendering for CAD and heavy workloads on graphics intensive work, like pixar style stuff.
