So I got a computer (it isn't new). I want it to be able to play l4d, tf2, css...

Should I upgrade it?

It's a HP Compaq d330...one of those low-profile computers.

Not sure if it would be cheaper to have someone upgrade it or just to have someone build a new gaming computer.

I willing to spend some money on upgrading. But I don't want to use all of my paycheck on it, you know?

Lol the best thing i can tell you is that you might wanna ave up and get 1000$. Then look at one of the posts about buying a new pc where cole posted links to diff computer parts and then build it yourself. It's under 1000$ i think and it'll be good.

Imo I would not spend money upgrading that. Instead you could spend 350$ for a computer that could run everything smoothly. I had found a 250$ computer and you could have bought that with a decent graphics card and it would run source engine. Just stick with this for a while and when woot has a good deal you should pick it up.

Sorry gigi, its an AGP computer (old style video cards), not worth spending the $$ to get it to playable specs :(

How am I going to be able to play cz when someone buys it?

Plus I got it for $89 w/o shipping + tax on tigerdirect... So it won't sell for much

I'll just save up the money. I;ve been pulling more hours @ work so I should be able to save up money quickly

Not rlly.. but i'm just thinking.. hey, if i can help why not? i mean i don't do anything with the money i make at work.. I just save up for college and the rest get myself chocolate and beer with.... So i'ma stop eating chocolate and drinking beer since i'm playing soccer for real now and get serious..
