You need a copy of xp. you need to burn the copy into a dvd.

Well you have to set the BIOS so it boots from a CD/DVD first. You can also put a copy of it on a USB key or something like that. Get a friend to download it for you :)

It's pretty easy. I don't think you'll have too many problems and I'm sure there are tutorials online.

You can also mount up an iso and upgrade straight from windows 2000, but I would suggest a fresh reinstall.

well iso is like.. files that were turn from their prior cd self into files and you need an iso runner[sorta like local drive but only runs the iso not store info] such as the one i have Daemon Tools to run the iso.

good luck installing though ;]

I'll try it out if I can download XP off of warez BB...The computer is under a student account, so I can't download unless I'm an admin :/ ....:(

well my bad gigi i explained it better now xD
and yeah thanks and that sucks that it's protected..ehh..
mm try to find some friends at school if they have the winxp os cd and the cd key. i think it's okay for the cd key to be used on multiple pcs...... not sure.. gahh wish there was a comp geek around here .___.
