i have a 500 wattage PSU, it's not the power supply, the minimum is 350

The card might be deffective, have you installed drivers for it?

(Although this should not affect it since most cards are plug and play)

it came with a disc to install drivers, but that's not my issue, my issue is i get nothing on my monitor when it's plugged into the card

i googled a bit, and it said my video card might not be compatible with my motherboard, lameeeee :roll:

i was gonna do that anyway, even if it did work lol, but will it be compatible with that motherboard? i sat there for a bit, and i compared them, but i ended up getting lost, like is DDR2 800 the same exact thing as a GDDR2?

when i installed my vid card same thing happened, i just installed it with the disc with my computers card, change the setting to the other card then change plugs

i just installed it, plugged my monitor into it, ran the drivers and thats it.


it should be the same for you cursed since we have the same brand.

i think yours might be a defective

i googled some site and it said that the 8600's most of the time are defective, so that's just what might've happened, how lame, 100 bucks for nothing :\

im pretty sure that they mean that XFX cards are defective, because I know a lot of people who have 8600 (non xfx) that work fine
