Just got CSS yesterday and to install it I needed space so I took valve and copied it to D Drive and than deleted the old valve on c drive.
When I first get on comp steam hasta dl updates or w/e but when it finishes a ton of css crap pops up on my desktop like just 15 different files and documents and all those kind of things, I made a folder called CSS Crap and put em all in there but when I started steam up again and it did its update thingy it put another 15 things on my desktop that are pretty much all the same as the ones in the folder.

instead of moving the valve folder to d drive, just uninstall stuff you don't use?

It is not a good idea to copy program folders from place to place. Your going to have to reinstall steam.
