Alright, I'm opening up this topic to those of you who have, or are, or plan to, go to college.

Guidelines: College you plan to attend, major/minor, job looking forward to

I'll go first.

Currently over at a local community college in my "lovely" little town outside of Houston (hanks knows where it is). Was going to major in Mech. Eng. Probably going to go for Computer Tech. now, just not sure what yet. After researching Computer Network Analyst for my comp. class, I found it interesting. Kind of want to do that. If not, I'd actually like to be a fiction writer (might post up some work at some point. Need time to type it up though ((and if that's ok with Pep and Cole))).

Austin Community College Paramedic Program.

Right now I'm a Nationally Registered EMT, working for my Intermediate License.

My program has the best turnout rate for paramedics in central Texas who end up practicing in my county, which is where I want to work. About a year and a half until I have the chance to do an internship with my county, and then probably 2 semesters past that point i graduate with my associate's degree as an EMT-Paramedic. By that point, ACC will have up it's planned Critical Care License course up and I'll probably take that so I have the ability to work on an Emergency Response helicopter.

That's my goals for now.

and Penguin, My sister's a Mechanical Engineer. She just got an internship working with General Electric in Spring 08' I think. Alot of math :\

Graduated from University of Mississippi (aka OleMiss) in May 05 with a BBA in MIS.

In highschool I worked for a car dealership, a restaurant and a marketing company.

In college I worked for a bank doing IT work and worked on campus doing IT work.

After college I went back to the bank, worked there for a few months running their mainframe, then worked for MDOT (Dept of Transportation) as a System admin II for a year, then got my current job as a Computer Consultant in Sept 06.

Yeah, I heard about the math rec's for Mech. Eng.. That's why I'll probably switch to Comp. Tech. I just don't think I'd be able to take Calc. III

Current Job: Retail (Steinmart). Sucks ass to be honest, but the pay's pretty good for my area. If I stick with Mech. Eng. I can probably get and internship over at one of the patrolium plants, then start there makin' 62k a year.. But, again, the rec's for the math..

west somerset community college

This is a school/College so I want continue here doing an ICT cource not sure which one yet tho. Then I was to go into a starter ICT in Uni then into this other cource that covers alot of stuff mainly ICT to do with Buisness. Then I want some sort of ICT cource in a Buisness.

Plan on teaching Physics at a highschool or college level, havent decided yet. In highschool i work at a taco cabana, pre college (no school) i worked at Nordstrom shining shoes, and now that im in college, i work at a computer lab here in the university as a lab admin.

South Downs College

I'm going to this college to study, Public Services or BTEC National Certificate - IT Practitioner Systems Support, but I haven't made my mind up yet. I think in about 1 week, or 1 week after Christmas Holidays I get to go to the college and see what they do, and go to different jobs to see what it would be like etc.

I'll probually go in to some sort of I.T Technician Buisness, or something along them lines.

Plymouth State University

Social Science with teaching Certification.

I want to be a social studies teacher dealing with either world history or US history but when it really comes down to it, ill take whatever I can get. After that, I would probably aim to become a principal or administrator at a high school or middle school. If i get ambitious, maybe get my doctorate and teach in college but thats a long ways away.

In HS at the moment. Want to go to a tech school and learn computer troubleshooting (my cuz can get me a great job, he does that stuff).
but i think while im in school i'll be a meter reader for the city, heard they get paid quit nicely.


then i want to eventually move to Amsterdam, Netherlands and become a man whore.

in Oakton High School now (OHS) gonna go for that college whiteboy told me about, called fullsail, they'll take dropouts too but u need to pass a test to get in, it's a really good school focusing on programming, and all the stuff i need to know to be a......GAME DESIGNER WEWT fullsail is in florida and im in VA so....but anyway, if fullsail doesn't work for me then george mason university (if anyone wants to check out fullsail go to www.fullsail.com) can't wait to begin my education (for once lol)

dude cursed, that college looks awsome, and i might not get through high school either. i've been thinking about ohio state(best in country) but i might just go wiht my friends to GMU also

in my last year of high school but my plans are

Schooling: 2 years of criminology and get my associates degree

Military: go through army basic training and take Military Police School for AIT, than head to airborne school an become a paratrooper, and than head to ranger school. after that i'll head to army med school an become a combat medic( the ones out in the fighting)

than i plan on going law enforcemnet, particularly SWAT, if not than i'll join up in blackwater

University of Nevada-Las Vegas

I want to major in either Hospitality Management or Gaming Management.

I'm going to try to get an on-campus job next semster.

After I graduate I am going to be a casino manager.
