I dunno, I'm at wits end, maybe you guys can help. I've only had my box for about a year, and already I cannot play due to constant overheating(2 red rings) I'e done everything under the sun to fix it myself save taking it apart. I talked to some dude on the phone and apparently my warranty is up and I'd have to pay like 100 bucks to fix it. Fuck that Anyone ever taken one apart or something? I did it to my ps2, but that had screws and stuff and was a lot easier. Fuck this is pissing me off. |

I also imagine If I can get it open I can get all the dust and shit out of there and hopefully cool it down. Otherwise I might have to do a wal mart swap, I don't have the throw away cash to drop 100 bucks on this. |

In the summer, my cousin puts his xbox right next to the air conditioner. In the winter, he puts a fan next to it and he says it never overheats lol. |

I opened up my and couple peoples PS2 before because it couldnt read the disk. All i did was clean the laser with rubbing alcohol on a Q tip. Takes 10 minutes to do at most. This has nothing to do with over heating but im just saying something about a PS2 because reaper said someone will say something about a PS3.... |

Do you use canned air to blow it out? If you do you might wanna stop that. In Afghanistan 3 of our 360's broke when we tried to consistently clean them with canned air. The 360 that was never blown out was the one that kept working without problems. I don't understand how that works but for some reason it just does. |
