my computer has another batch of viruses... it started when i went on the forums to check whats going on and my computer said it was infected, my father is looking into, been a couple days and its a nasty virus, it shuts down any program that might be able to get rid of the virus, but i havnt been able to get on, and this virus is not planning on leaving by a couple weeks.... which i hope is not true.

Just get Norton and stay away from those 1-900 sites also don't let those ads that tell you that you have a virus fool you.

Well, it was my computer that told me i was infected, not an ad or anything... and yea, apparently its some really bad trojan malware bullshit and its now Dl'ing more viruses or something... but what is a 1-900 site, are you talking about area wise?

what about a backup?

nope, nothing said, i need to download this to stop it, it was just a normal computer message that said Your computer is Infected! and told me about it, and norton keeps getting shut down and cant do shiznat for it

and by backup do you mean a diff comp? im using my mom's comp to get on der forums to message and whatev, but shes got like... Guild wars and all this bee shit, no steam or nothin

naw, like something that will let you do a system restore. That's how I stopped mine from being shitty and having pop ups. My brothers did something, probably through lime wire, and I had to fix it.

no, im pretty sure we dont have a backup, but if we did, we woulda tried it by now, and it wouldnt work, ive had this thing for a week and few days so far

my dad did something to his system restore, so he can't do a restore point (and it has a shit load of viruses, it's pretty funny actually lol) why don't you restart your comp and format it and choose the backup option (saves all your data)
