If you have not already heard, Walmart has decided to take $470,000 from Debbie Shank, a 52 year old mother of three (One of her sons recently died in Iraq), who was involved in a terrible car accident crippling her short term memory, leaving her in a wheelchair, and in a nursing home. Because of the fine print of Walmarts health insurance plan, since Debbie was involved in a car accident and was awarded the money to take care of the tragic aftermath, they are entitled to take all the money that was supposed to go to taking care of Debbie. THEY ACTUALLY WANT $470,000 from this handicapped woman in a wheelchair, who needs it to be taken care of in the future. This coming from a company that made $90 billion last quarter... DO NOT BUY FROM WALMART! |

I bought an alarm clock from them last night. BTW, there may be more to that story than what you know. Don't be so quick to down the "man", man. Always remember, that just because the newspaper/newsstation/intarwebz said it happened this way, doesn't mean it actually happened this way. News companies spin things all the time. Its what they do. Its how they force their political/social agenda on the people who only have time to read snippets or watch headlines. Seriously. Read a headline. Sometimes the article completely contradicts what the headline said it was going to be about. In closing. When asked what part of Jamaica your from... Always tell them. The part right near the beach. BOYEEEEE. |

http://www.cnn.com/2008/US/03/25/walmar ... ce.battle/ Yeah its a sad story, but even her lawyer says walmart is in the right. Its true, because walmart paid for all of her medical expenses, half a million of medical bills, then she sued the company who hit her, and got half a million, which if she sues for medical bills, then walmart, who paid the bills, is entitled to the money. The real issue is not walmart's fault, it was her lawyer. Cut and dry he fucked up. He should of sued the trucking company for medical bills (half million) PLUS pain and suffering, plus long term care (another half a mil or more), so like 1-1.5 million or so, then paid the .5mil back to walmart and kept the .5-1 million for her long term care. |
