Tiptronic IMO....http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiptronic Drove a Porsche once with a tiptronic transmision at a car racing course i took, by far the most wicked way to get those tires to break loose while feeling like your in total control of the car.

But if i absolutely had to say between only an auto and a stick... id say auto. I had a 91 Mustang with a stick for my first car(which by the way i did not wreck, my father blew the motor at the drag strip), and a 68 Mustang with an auto as my second car(which i had to sell because of its massive fuel consumption due to the dual 600 cfm carbs, 10 mpg on the highway 8mpg in the city). All in all I could drive the hell out of the auto and not worry about accidentally grinding gears or having it slip as much. But then again it was severly modified to handle the higher torque

I say that an automatic car is a lot more practical than a standard shift car that Bhavin has (a $500 Intergra). Anyone who begs to differ, should come and drive more than two days in DC Metropolitan Area traffic.

On a side note, Bhavin, or VeXed, doesn't have a choice between either.

A) He doesn't have a license

B) He can't afford any other car except the one he has now

C) He hasn't yet even learned how to use it completely, yet

You should know better than to start arguments with me.

Anways.. back to the topic. Which do you prefer? Stickshift of Automatic

-I didn't specify the location (so no need for the DC-Metro traffic bash)
`REPPIN FALLSCHURCH!

-Deal is a deal, kinda cool how I got a pretty much perfect condition Integra for 500 bucks :D

-Stickshift is wayyyy harder to learn than auto. Besides, I like a challenge.

So, Stickshift or Auto?

I hear Nick Cage loves Stick so it MUST be good

Disregarding the area, I'd go with a manual.

I drove an auto for one year. Not much to it, not many benefits.

I've driven a manual and know a few things about it. First of all, you most often get better gas mileage with a manual. Also, it doesn't wear on brakes as fast. As long as you take good care of your car, it won't crap out on you. Don't crank the stick like a madman and grind gears, you'll be all set.

I now drive an automatic with tiptronic. I friggin' love it. It's friggin' sweeeeet.

Tiptronic is good but it has a slower reaction time just like the rpm gauges that flash when you set it to a certain ammount i say stick if you know your car and know how to use a stick

STICK IS BETTER BY FAR. autos are for girls. wich is why my z is a chick car cause its auto. But stick wins oveer all cause u can shift when you want and u can smoke the snot outa your tires way better dont argue with me cause my dads mustang dose a 10 tiems better burnout then a auto mustang. and my car dose pusssy burn outs when i saw a 5spd z liek mine do nasty burnouts.
